		IX International Astronomy Olympiad Initially proposed Programme of the Olympiad
	Preliminary information The main points of the programme of the Olympiad will be the following: Wednesday-Thursday September 29-30 Some teams (if necessary) arrive to Simferopol' Friday October 1 Delegations arrive to Simferopol' Free time Saturday October 2 Opening ceremony in Simferopol' Excursion, transportation to the South Coast of Crimea Unofficial opening ceremony Sunday October 3 Excursion Sports, walking Observational round (I attempt) Monday October 4 Theoretical round Relaxation Observational round (II attempt) Tuesday October 5 Excursion for all the day Wednesday October 6 Practical round Sports, walking Thursday October 7 Excursions, cultural programme Friday October 8 Closing ceremony Cultural programme Final dinner Saturday October 9 Delegations depart Sunday October 10 Some delegations depart Saturday-Tuesday October 9-12 Additional programme for foreign teams is possible (excursions in Crimea). The programme of these days has to be discussed with every team individually. Applications for the additional programme may be sent not later 5-10 of September.
