Datatake SeaWifs + Envisat ASAR September 03, 2004 East Atlantic Ocean Portuguese coast Comment The transparency is made by overlaying a SeaWifs image on top of an Envisat ASAR image. It reveals both the sea surface signatures of oceanic internal waves, and the surface chlorophyll concentration distribution off Portugal's west coast. It can be seen that stronger gradients of chlorophyll concentration are coincident with the oceanic internal waves' distribution. Image |
