The onboard navigation systems for the coordinate & clock referencing (KKVO) are being developed. The typical system consists of three main componenets: star tracker, GPS/GLONASS receiver and high performance processor for mesurement processing.
The Department is developing a series of digital multi-spectral cameras (MSU) with linear CCD photoreceivers. The complexes of these cameras will be used for imaging the Earth surface and cloud cover from space. The similar airborne systems are being created also.
Ground facilities for satellite imaging systems calibration and testing make it possible both to improve capabilities of the instruments being created and to increase accuracy of the image data obtained. |
