Objective: we want to discuss the recent results and work in progress on energetic particles from the students/postdocs/researchers and identify scientific questions that can be addressed by linking the current/future X-ray and radio observations with numerical simulations.

As the outcome of the meeting we expect some identification of joint research projects which would benefit Glasgow-Pulkovo collaboration and FP-7 "RadioSun" staff exchange scheme.

Where: The workshop will be hosted at Pulkovo Observatory, Saint Petersburg.

When: August 11-15, 2014

Workshop format: Unlike the usual conferences, we plan to have 5 day workshop with extended seminar-like presentations followed by in-depth discussions. (This is the format of the workshop we had for Glasgow-Meudon collaboration) We anticipate that each speaker will have 45 mins, which includes 30 mins to present material and 15 minutes for questions. Invited lectures and tutorials will be announced later.
