Anatoly T. Nagovitsyn (1921-2000)

 

Russian painter, illustrator; portrait, graphic and exlibris artist. Honoured artist of Russia since 1999.

A. Nagovitsyn was born in village Pokrovskoe of the Kirov (Vyatka) region on January, 10th, 1921. He studied at the Odessa Art School (1938-1939), at Moscow Institute for Applied and Decorative Arts (1948-1952) and Mukhina's Art School in Leningrad (1952-1954). The participant of art exhibitions since 1953. He participated in different all-Russia, inter-regional, regional, city and international exhibitions. Personal exhibitions in Vologda (1981, 1988), Moscow (1968), Leningrad (1967, 1968, 1976), Cherepovets (1971, 1983, 1990, 1999), Vel'sk (1970). Participants of exhibitions in Montreal, Osaka, Helsinki, Lissabon, Prague, Geneva, Brussels.
