Pulkovo permanent GNSS station PULK
General Information Position time series Contact
The permanent GPS station was established at Pulkovo Observatory on 22 April 2002 in cooperation
with NAVGEOCOM Co.
The antenna is mounted on a steel tube connected to the brick wall of the building.
Initially, Trimble 4000SSE receiver and TRM33429.20+GP antenna without radome were installed at the station. The antenna was replaced by TRM41249.00 without radome on 25 June 2004. On 1 September 2006 Trimble 4000SSI receiver was installed. In May 2008 Pulkovo GNSS station became an EPN station PULK (DOMES 12305M001). Both hourly and daily data are delivered to EPN data centers. On 21 July 2010 ECCOSORB VHP microwave absorber was installed beneath the antenna. Removed on 29 December 2012. On 13 May 2014 a new TPS NETG3 GPS+GLONASS receiver was installed (connected to the same antenna). |
Data are processed using the GIPSY-OASIS v. 6.3 software developed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Daily PULK station position is computed in the Precise Point Positioning (PPP) mode using orbits, clocks, EOP, and antenna absolute phase center corrections provided by the JPL ftp service.
Ocean loading is computed using data obtained from the OSO ocean tide loading provider. GOT4.8 model is currently used. Ocean loading pole tide model is invoked. Loading values are corrected for centre of mass motion of the Earth due to the ocean tides.
VMF1GRID model is used for computation of tropospheric delay.
Atmospheric pressure loading correction is applied using the GSFC model.
The latest estimate of the PULK position and velocity in the IGS08 system is the following (geodetic coordinates are given with respect to the GRS80 ellipsoid):
Number of daily estimates: 4869
Position epoch: 2009.286
X = 2778606.727 m | VX = -19.18 mm/yr
Y = 1625494.729 m | VY = 13.28 mm/yr
Z = 5487811.007 m | VZ = 6.78 mm/yr
B = 59° 46' 18"6213 | VN = 11.94 mm/yr
L = 30° 19' 40"0245 | VE = 21.15 mm/yr
H = 101.160 m | VH = 0.88 mm/yr |
PULK station position variations (daily estimates after removing the above velocities) are depicted in the plot.
Atmospheric pressure loading is subtracted from the time series.
Red lines show the epochs of the receiver change, green lines show the epochs of antenna change.
Vertical bars show the 1-sigma uncertainty in the position estimates.
Average uncertainty for whole period is σN = 1.6 mm, σE = 1.0 mm, σH = 2.2 mm.
Average uncertainty for last month is σN = 1.1 mm, σE = 0.7 mm, σH = 1.5 mm.
