ESO - I am using ESO REFLEX software to reduce the UVES data. Is there any option in the pipeline to save the 2D extracted spectra, as the pipeline must extract the spectra in 2D first, and wavelength calibrate it, before merging the spectra to 1D?

Is there a way to generate a calibrated 2D  spectrum with the pipeline?

If  the parameter reduce.extract.method in the uves_obs_scired recipe is set to '2d', a 2D extracted and merged image is generated. In Reflex, you do this by clicking on the "Spectrum Exaction" actor, and change the "INIT_EXTRACT_METHOD" to "2d" and "ENABLE_INTERACTIVITY" to "false". In addtion, one has to open the "Spectrum Exaction" actor, click on uves_obs_scired, and set the "output file category" to "".
