Kueyen is Opening

Kueyen, the second of the four giant VLT Unit Telescopes, is tilted during the opening of its enclosure. This position reduces the probability that any object which could accidentally fall from the enclosure hits the 8.2-metre primary mirror. The telescopes are typically opened 5���10 minutes before sunset.
