ADELEPLUNKETT
ASTRONOMER
Hello, ¡Hola!
I am currently an ESO Fellow in Chile, a postdoctoral position I began in November, 2015. I spend half of my time on support duties to the ALMA Observatory. My research involves observing star forming regions using radio, mm-, and sub-mm telescopes. I earned my PhD in astronomy at Yale University, where I worked with Prof. Hector Arce, and gratefully acknowledge support through the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program. In 2012-13 I was a Fulbright Fellow in Chile, where I worked on Commissioning and Science Verification at ALMA and conducted research with Prof. Diego Mardones at Universidad de Chile. Born and raised in Texas, I studied physics as an undergrad at Middlebury College in Vermont. I love all things related to travel, mountains, and traveling to mountains.
