EVM and ETRM specification for ESO instruments | |||||
|
This page gives access to the current specification for the EVM and ETRM scripts, included in the instrument packages of the ESO instruments, and used by the OHS tools like P2PP or the OT. The EVM script (External Verification Module) is used for the validation of the OBs, e.g. through the 'Verify' button in P2PP, or automatically when an OB is checked-in. The ETRM script (External Time Reporting Module) allows to compute the exposure and execution times of OBs within the OHS tools.
On this page, you will find the latest specifications for both types of
script, as implemented in the ohsvlt
(Paranal) and ohsls
(La Silla) software modules. Whether these specifications apply to a
particular observing run naturally depends on the instrument package which is assigned
to it.
The following table gives you links to access the ETRM or/and EVM specifications for a given instrument. The specification for an EVM script is a text file listing all checks done on the OBs for the concerned instrument. For the ETRM scripts, the documentation serves also as a test report.
Please note that the specifications correspond to the ones at the beginning of the relevant Phase 2 period. Further minor modifications to the scripts, introduced between two periods and for only a few observing runs, will not be reported here. When in doubt, one should check the exact version number of the instrument package assigned to a given run.
