PURPOSE:

Assessment of zero-gravity impact on the structural and functional regeneration of the damaged organs and tissues of the animals involved in the experiment.

OBJECTIVE:

Study of regeneration of the entire organism from its part by the example of flat worms (Planaria), one of the species of flat worm family living in fresh water.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Information about the regeneration of the damaged organs and tissues obtained during conduct of model experiments on the animals exposed to zero-gravity conditions during a long time will prove to be helpful for developing the measures for flights medical support.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

• Incubators Planaria containing the organisms under study delivered to Earth;
• Information concerning the experimental conditions made available by means of the independently – operating temperature recorder.
