Experiment 3D CAMERA-2 is a part of the scientific research program to be conducted by ESA astronaut of the Dutch nationality Andre Kuipers onboard the ISS RS in the frame of DSM Delta Project, and is an extension of experiments 3D CAMERA (SSM Cervantes Project). The European Space Agency is a customer of the preparation and implementation of the research program.

USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:

• 3D Camera Kit
  - Stereoscopic 3D photo camera
  with two lenses Nikkor AIS 2,8/24 mm
  - Bracket adapter
• Nikon flash (model SB-28DX or SB-28)
• Universal adapter bracket LIV

PURPOSE:

Acquire practical skills in taking stereoscopic images onboard the ISS, define professional, mass media and public interest in such images, as well as acquire data for 3D camera upgrading and improvement in the interest of further flights and potential utilization of 3D technology on spacecraft during the rendezvous.

OBJECTIVES:

• Take stereoscopic images of the cosmonauts' activity and hardware locations inside the ISS.
• Imagery of the Earth's surface.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

Films returned to the ground (8 films) with photo imagery results (each 36-frame photo film has 12 stereopairs).
