SCIENCE RESEARCH ON ISS RUSSIAN SEGMENT
TECHNICAL RESEARCH
SERVANTES SSM PROJECT
NANOSLAB-2 EXPERIMENT

russian

NANOSLAB-2 experiment is a part of the science research program to be performed aboard the ISS RS by Pedro Duque, ESA astronaut of Spanish nationality in the frame of the SERVANTES Project and continued NANOSLAB experiment performed under the ODISSEA Project. The European Space Agency is a customer for the preparation and implementation of the scientific program.

The experiment is conducted in MSG on the US Segment.

USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:

  • NANOSLAB Electronics box

  • NANOSLAB Sample container
Including 10 assemblies, each containing three cells with experimental liquid samples

PURPOSE:

Study of the aggregation mechanism and kinetics of ZSM-5 and Silicalite-1 nanoslabs into ZSM-5 / Silicalite-1 hybrid phases under micro-gravity conditions.

OBJECTIVE:

To obtain kinetic profiles of the formation of ZSM-5 / Silicalite-1 phases under micro-gravity conditions.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

Processed samples located in NANOSLAB sample container.
