MAIN TASKS OF THE INCREMENT
IN THE ISS-21 PHASE
(October 11, 2009 - December 1, 2009)
- Launch of one ISS-21/22 Russian, one NASA crewmember and one participant of the visiting crew (VC-17) (Canada) by transport manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-16 in flight 18S;
- Docking of Soyuz TMA-16 spacecraft to the Instrument Compartment of Service Module Zvezda (IC-SM);
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Progress M-03M;
- Operational support for docking of Progress M with MIM-2 module to nadir port of Service Module Zvezda ;
- Operational support for docking of Space Shuttle (ULF3 flight) and rotation of one NASA crewmember;
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz TMA-15;
- Support of the Space Station functionality;
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiments;
- Implementation of the utilization program and life science experiments for a space flight participant of visiting crew VC-17.
The ISS-21 crew consists of six persons.
The flight duration of one ISS-21/22 Russian crewmember, one ISS-21/22 NASA crewmember delivered by Soyuz TMA-16 spacecraft is 169 days
The ISS-21 flight program can be changed depending on possible delays of the launch dates of Shuttle orbiters.

IN THE ISS-22 PHASE
(December 1, 2009 - up to now)
- Launch of one ISS-22/23 Russian, one NASA (USA) and one JAXA (Japan) crewmember by transport manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-17;
- Docking of Soyuz TMA-17 spacecraft to the port of Zarya Functional and Cargo Module;
- Undocking of Soyuz TMA-16 spacecraft from Instrument Compartment of Service Module Zvezda (IC-SM) to the port of Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2);
- Operational support for docking and unloading of Progress M-04M;
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Progress M-03M;
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz TMA-16 from the port of Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2) (return to the Earth of ISS-22 crewmembers);
- Support of the Space Station functionality;
- Implementation of two EVA's on the Russian Segment of ISS.
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiments.
The ISS-22 crew consists of five persons.
The flight duration of one ISS-22/23 Russian crewmember, one ISS-22/23 NASA crewmember delivered by Soyuz TMA-17 spacecraft is 159 days
The ISS-22 flight program can be changed depending on possible delays of the launch dates of Shuttle orbiters.
