MAIN TASKS OF THE INCREMENT
IN THE ISS-19 PHASE
(April 8 - May 29, 2009)

  • Launch of one ISS-19/20 Russian, one NASA crewmember and one participant of the visiting crew (VC-16) (USA) by transport manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-14 in flight 18S;
  • Docking of Soyuz TMA-14 spacecraft to the Instrument Compartment of Service Module Zvezda (IC-SM);
  • Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz TMA-13 from FGB Zarya;
  • Operational support for loading and undocking of Progress M-66;
  • Operational support for docking and unloading of Progress M-02M;
  • Support of the Space Station functionality;
  • Performance of the science and application research program and experiments;
  • Implementation of the utilization program and life science experiments for a space flight participant of visiting crew VC-16.

 

MAIN TASKS OF THE INCREMENT
IN THE ISS-20 PHASE
(May 29 - October 11, 2009)

  • Launch of one Russian crewmember and two NASA crewmembers of the ISS-20/21 increment by Soyuz TMA-15 transport manned vehicle in flight 19S;
  • Soyuz TMA-15 docking to Zarya FGB (increase of crew size to 6 persons);
  • Support of operation on loading and undocking of Progress M-02M from the Pirs docking compartment (DC1);
  • Soyuz TMA-14 redocking from the Instrument Compartment of the Zvezda Service Module (SM IC) to DC1;
  • Operational support for docking of the Space Shuttle in flight 2J/A. Rotation of one NASA crewmember by the Shuttle in flight 2J/A;
  • Support of operations on Progress M-67 docking to SM IC and its unloading;
  • Support of operations on Shuttle Orbiter (flight 17A) docking;
  • Rotation of one NASA crewmember of Shuttle orbiter in flight 17A;
  • Support of operations on HTV docking to the American segment;
  • Performance of two EVA sessions by Russian crewmembers to the ISS Russian segment;
  • Support of station's operation capability;
  • Implementation of the program of research and applied activities and experiments.
