On June 10, 2007 the International Space Station (ISS) received another manned vehicle. In addition to Soyuz TMA-10 crew rescue vehicle attached to the station, the US Space Shuttle Atlantis mated to the ISS. The vehicle approached the USOS module Destiny at 23:36 Moscow time.
The Shuttle approach and docking process was tracked by the US and Russian Mission Control Centers, as well as by the ISS-15 crew. The onboard crew conducted video imagery of the vehicle external surface. The crew commander Fyodor Yurchikhin (test-cosmonaut, S.P. Korolev RSC Energia) conducted photo imagery of several phases of this process.
