Training sessions under the International Space Station Expedition 15 (ISS-15) and Visiting Crew (VC-12) training program were held at S.P. Korolev RSC Energia.
The Corporation specialists familiarized cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin, (RSC Energia) and Oleg Kotov, (GCTC RGNII) with the Russian Segment onboard computer system software exchange procedures. They became familiar with the onboard computer network and Zveno-B hardware for the additional intercomputer exchange channel between the ISS Russian Segment and MCC-M. After that, they had a practical exercise at the integrated stand for mounting Zveno-B hardware in Zvezda Service Module. Concurrently, spaceflight participant, US citizen Charles Simonyi received training in handling photo and video equipment and radio amateur hardware, which he will have to use onboard the Russian Segment.
