The next training activities under the program for training of International Space Station 13th Prime Expedition (ISS-13) crews were held at RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev.
RSC Energia’s test cosmonauts Pavel Vinogradov and Fyodor Yurchikhin during the training sessions foreseen for the ISS expedition and Soyuz TMA commander gave a workout to the following under the Corporation’s specialists direction using the ISS Zvezda Module integration stand:
- methods for assembly of the ISS-MCC downlink computer-to-computer exchange;
- change of the memory device of onboard data telemetry system.
Also they got training in stowage of the return equipment in the Soyuz TMA manned space vehicle and were acquainted with the features of the computer-to-computer exchange within the onboard data management system and the techniques of the pipelines pressurization.
RSC Energia’s test cosmonaut Pavel Vinogradov and NASA’s astronaut Jeffrey Williams (ISS-13 and Soyuz TMA flight engineer) studied during the joint training sessions the following:
- standard repair operations and onboard tools required to implement them;
- digital video and photographic equipment available at the ISS Russian Segment;
- activities in accordance with the Soyuz TMA onboard technical documentation, including special crew activities during the day on which the docking occurs.
