On March 15th RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev hosted the
next practice training under the plan for preparation of
the International Space Station expedition 11 (ISS-11)
crews.
On the integration stand of the ISS Russian Segment Zvezda
Service Module Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Tyurin (RSC Energia
test-cosmonaut) under the direction of the Corporation
specialists drilled the procedures for assembly/disassembly
of the equipment designed to assure approach of European
space cargo vehicle ATV. Then he was trained to operate
onboard computer network and provide crew information support,
including familiarization with the features of operating
onboard Laptop PCs, as well as amateur radio communication
equipment.
Meanwhile the specialists form RSC Energia guided the operations
performed by US astronauts John Phillips and Daniel Tani
(NASA) during their working through the procedure for changing
the station onboard computer system software, introduced
them to the amateur radio communication equipment and its
operation techniques.
