The International Space Station (ISS) fourth visiting crew (VC-4) - the Russians: Sergey Zaletin and Yuri Lonchakov and the Belgian: Frank de Winne - returned with the space vehicle Soyuz TM-34 landing module upon the 11-days flight program.

Soyuz TMA-1 crew prior to boarding their spacecraftToday at 6 hours 11 minutes 11 seconds Moscow Time (3:11:11 a.m. GMT), the Russian Soyuz TMA manned transport vehicle was launched by the Souyz-FG rocket from Baikonur cosmodrome.

The Soyuz TMA-1 crewsThe State Board meeting was held with the aim to approve the following makeup of the Soyuz TMA-1 crews. The prime crew: Sergei Zaletin, Commander; Frank De Winne, Flight Engineer and Yuri Lonchakov, Flight Engineer.
The back-up crew: Yuri Lonchakov, Commander; Alexander Lazutkin, Flight Engineer.

In the LV processing facility, the orbital module was integrated with the launch vehicle.
At 15 hours Moscow time, a meeting of the State Board and the Technical Management was held where a decision was made to roll out the launch vehicle carrying Soyuz TMA-1 to the launch pad.

The forth Russian visiting crew (VC-4) to the International Space Station is in progress.
During the acceptance tests of the hardware, which is planned to be uploaded by Progress M1-9 cargo vehicle to the Station in the frame of the Odissea project in September 2002 the training sessions of Russian cosmonauts S.V.Zaletin and Yu.V.Lonchakov and ESA astronaut of Belgian nationality Frank de Winne being members of the prime and backup crews in this mission took place.
They were familiarized with the hardware, its upload procedure and peculiarities of its activation by RSC Energia and ESA specialists.
