ARES may comprise instruments to measure volumetric activity
of precipitation, oxides concentration of carbon, sulfur,
ammonia and other gases, nomenclature and concentration
of chemical elements (in the form of aerosols) in atmospheric
air, from Ca (Z=20) to Pu (Z=94); to collect precipitation
for subsequent chemical analysis and to measure noise levels.
It may also contain other instruments as specified by the
Customer.
Measurements are conducted every 4 - 6 hours or continuously.
It is possible to conduct measurements by command from
ecological control center.
ARES provides the release of information via phone channel
(relay or satellite communication is possible).
