President and General Designer of the open joint-stock company S.P.Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia - Vitaly Alexandrovich Lopota

Lopota, Vitaly Alexandrovich, was born in 1950.
In 1978 he graduated from the Physical Metallurgy department of the M.I.Kalinin Leningrad Polytechnic Institute. Doctor of Sciences, Engineering; a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences; professor; honored worker of science of the Russian Federation.
1991-2007 -  director and chief designer of a Russian state scientific center, the Central Research and Experimental Design Institute for Robotics and Engineering Cybernetics (TsNII RTK), St.Petersburg.
He was appointed the first vice president and designer general of S.P.Korolev RSC Energia JSC on July 2, 2007.
A special stockholders meeting of the open joint-stock company S.P.Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia held on July 31, 2007, elected him Corporation President.
