Functional content: - Scientific equipment system (particle analyser, electric field analyser, flux-gate magnetometer);
- The system of radio command link, housekeeping and scientific telemetry;
- The system of data acquisition and control;
- Power supply system;
- Passive thermal control system;
- Passive system of gravity orientation.

A satellite is launched from the Progress M1-7 cargo vehicle following its separation from the International Space Station (ISS), moving a safe distance away from it and carrying out the required attitude control to avoid the satellite collision with the ISS and provide its operating position after launch.
The critical component of this Project involves development and deployment of ground control complex (GCC) and school ground stations (GS) receiving telemetry data and operating within ham radio band, which will be basic configuration to the entire Program as well.
The Kolibry satellite, its GCC and GS used as basic configuration will enable to significantly reduce the scope of design and test activities for subsequent projects under the Program, decrease their cost and completion dates.
