ARISS-2 Experiment
ARISS-2 experiment is a part of the science research program to be performed aboard the ISS RS by Pedro Duque, ESA astronaut of Spanish nationality in the
frame of the CERVANTES Project and continued
EDUCATION experiment performed under the ODISSEA
Project. The European Space Agency is a customer for the preparation and implementation of the scientific program.
Objective:
Implementation of ARISS society activity aimed at establishment, development and maintenance of radio
amateur communication sessions with the use of Sputnik-SM satellite aboard the ISS.
Tasks:
Performance of radio communication sessions in real time with the ISS during which schoolchildren and
students at selected schools of Spain and Holland will put questions to the Spanish astronaut.
Science Hardware Used:
Sputnik-SM radio amateur communication system:
- Radio station;
- Package module;
- Adapter;
- Set of cables.
Experiment Results:
Talks performed during radio amateur communication sessions in real time.
