Science Research on ISS Russian Segment
Program of Utilization activities and Scientific Experiments for spaceflight participant G. Olsen
Experiment MOP
Objective:
Gain insight in the process of vestibular adaptation by rating motion perception.
Task:
Assessment of the degree of vestibular adaptation to G-transitions by characterizing individual motion perception.
Science Hardware Used:
- Crew logbook with a set of questionnaires,
in which the astronaut should document his motion sensation caused by the head movements and presence or absence of discomfort experienced in the course of his daily activity and associated with the space adaptation syndrome.
Experiment Results:
Information recorded in the crew logbook, which is returned to the ground.
