Progress M-13M logistics spacecraft docked with ISS

Russian logistics spacecraft Progress M-13M, after three days in free flight, has docked with the International Space Station (ISS).

The initial contact with the docking port on the Pirs Module of the ISS Russian Segment (RS) occurred at 15:41:35 Moscow Time.

Approach to the space station, its fly-around and stationkeeping were performed in automatic mode.

The crew of Expedition ISS-29/30 working on-board the space station monitored the process of rendezvous and docking. All dynamic operations were performed under the supervision of the Technical Management (The Technical Manager is the President and Designer General of RSC Energia V.A. Lopota).

Present at MCC-M during final rendezvous and docking operations of the spacecraft and the ISS were representatives of the State Commission, Roscosmos, NASA and ESA, subcontractor companies and organizations in the industry, managers and employees of the Corporation.

According to telemetry data and reports from the ISS crew, the on-board systems of the space station and spacecraft operate normally.

 For reference:
  1. The spacecraft delivered to the station 2.6 tons of cargo. They include: supplies of propellant, water, oxygen, food; equipment for water and life support systems; sanitary, hygienic and medical equipment; materials and equipment for conducting research in geophysics (including small satellite "Chibis-M" for the "Microsatellite" experiment); biology ("Zhenshen-2", "Struktura"); technology ("Plasma crystal-3"), etc.; on-board documentation and packages for the crew. Delivered on-board in support of further operation of the FGB module Zarya and the Rassvet module of ISS RS was hardware for life support system and on-board equipment control system.
  2. Intended for the US segment of the station are 423 kg of cargos.
  3. The mission control and the monitoring of the spacecraft systems status during rendezvous and docking were provided by the Lead Operations Control Team consisting of specialists from S.P. Korolev RSC Energia, MCC-M, and other organizations in the industry. The Flight Director is the RSC Energia First Deputy General Designer V.A. Soloviev.
  4. The ISS Russian Segment consists of: Functional and cargo module Zarya, modules Zvezda, Pirs, Poisk and Rassvet, manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-02M, cargo spacecraft Progress M-13M.
  5. ISS crew: Russian cosmonaut S. Volkov, US astronaut M. Fossum and astronaut of the Japanese Space Agency S. Furukawa.
