Expedition 13 (ISS-13)
MAIN TASKS OF THE EXPEDITION
- Launch of two ISS-13 crewmembers and one participant of the visiting crew (VC-10) by transport manned spacecraft
Soyuz TMA-8 in flight 12S;
- Docking of Soyuz TMA-8 spacecraft to the Instrument Compartment of the Service Module (SM IC);
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz TMA-7 from the Functional Cargo Module (FGB);
- Relocation of Soyuz TMA-8 spacecraft from SM IC to FGB;
- Operational support for docking of Progress M-56 to SM IC and its unloading;
- Operational support for docking of the Space Shuttle* in flight ULF1.1
- Loading and undocking of Progress M-55 from the Docking Compartment (DC1);
- Operational support for docking of Progress M-57 to DC1 and its unloading;
- Operational support for docking of the Space Shuttle* in flight 12A;
- Loading and undocking of Progress М-56 from SM IC;
- Support of the Space Station functionality;
- Performance of extravehicular activity: i.e. one US egress (EVA) on the ISS USOS and two Russian egresses
(EVA) on the ISS Russian Segment;
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiments,
as well as contract-based commercial activities;
- Implementation of the scientific research program onboard the ISS under BSM CENTENARIO
project during the VC-10 time;
- Crew handover to Increment ISS-14 and return of ISS-13 crew, as well as the flight participant working under
the visiting crew (VC-11) program with Soyuz TMA-8.
The Increment 13 crew will consist of two crewmembers until arrival of the third crewmember (ESA astronaut) to be delivered by the Shuttle in Flight ULF1.1.
