S.P. Korolev Rocket & Space Corporation Energia held a session of the General Designers Review Board for the Russian Segment of the International Space Station
S.P. Korolev Rocket & Space Corporation Energia held a session chaired by General Designer V.P. Legostaev of the General Designers Review Board for the Russian Segment (RS) of the International Space Station (ISS).
The following reports and messages were heard during the session:
- About the progress of prelaunch processing of manned transport vehicle (MTV) Soyuz TMA-15M and readiness of MTV Soyuz TMA-13M for completion of its mission;
- About the results of the ISS flight, mission program for the upcoming period, status of the ISS, Lead Operations Control Team and flight support assets readiness for execution of the next Expedition program;
- About the flight readiness of Soyuz-FG launch vehicle (LV) for launch of MTV Soyuz TMA-15M from Launch Site 31;
- About the readiness of the Launch Complex of Site 31 for the launch of Rocket-Space Complex with MTV Soyuz TMA-15M;
- About the status of the ISS USOS and its readiness for the next flight phase;
- About the readiness of the MCC-M facilities and the personnel for completing the Soyuz TMA-13M flight and Soyuz TMA-15M launch;
- About the readiness of the search and rescue assets for performing work in support of Soyuz TMA-13M descent module landing and Soyuz TMA 15M launch;
- About the health status of the crews of ISS-40/41 and ISS-42/43, readiness of supporting assets;
- About the readiness of the ISS-40/41 Expedition crew for descent and the ISS-42/43 crew for carrying out the upcoming ISS work program with regard to the vehicle launch from the Launch Complex of Site 31;
- About the conceptual design of Space Complex OKA-T-ISS.
Also heard were supplementary reports, announcements and findings from Chief Designers, responsible representatives of organizations and enterprises involved in the ISS Program implementation.
During the session it was stated that there are no obstacles to continue the ISS Program.
The General Designers Review Board accepted a decision to approve the following RSC Energia proposals:
- On returning the ISS-40/41 Expedition crew onboard the Soyuz TMA-13M MTV on November 10, 2014;
- On the plan of upcoming work to prepare MTV Soyuz TMA-15M for launch on November 24, 2014;
- On supporting Soyuz TMA-15M launch from the Launch Complex of Site 31;
- On delivering three crewmembers to the ISS for work within the next Expedition crew;
- On the flight test program for the Rocket-Space Complex with LV Soyuz-2.1a to launch cargo vehicles Progress M-M;
- Approve the conceptual design of Space Complex OKA-T-ISS;
- On clearing the ISS RS to proceed with the next phase of the ISS operation.;
Taking part in the proceedings of the General Designers Review Board were representatives of Roscosmos management, United Rocket and Space Corporation, space agencies from abroad, subdivisions of RSC Energia, organizations and companies implementing the ISS program.
