S.P. Korolev Rocket & Space Corporation Energia held a session of the General Designers Review Board for the Russian Segment of the International Space Station
S.P. Korolev Rocket & Space Corporation Energia held a session chaired by acting General Designer V.P. Legostaev of the General Designers Review Board for the Russian Segment (RS) of the International Space Station (ISS).
Heard during the session were the following reports:
- About the progress of prelaunch processing of manned transportation vehicle Soyuz TMA-14М and readiness of Soyuz TMА-12М for completion of its mission;
- About the results of the ISS flight, mission program for the upcoming period, status of the ISS, Lead operational control team and flight support assets readiness for execution of the next increment program;
- About the operational readiness of Soyuz-FG launch vehicle (LV) for launch of Soyuz TMA-14M;
- About the readiness of the launch pad for the launch of the integrated launch vehicle carrying Soyuz ТМА-14М;
- About the status of the ISS USOS and its readiness for the next flight phase;
- About the readiness of the MCC-M facilities and personnel for operations relating to Soyuz TMA-12M de-orbit and landing and Soyuz ТМА-14М launch;
- About the readiness of the search and rescue assets for performing work in support of Soyuz TMA-12M landing and Soyuz TMA-14M launch;
- About the health status of the crews of ISS-39/40 and ISS-41/42, readiness of supporting assets;
- About the readiness of the ISS-39/40 Increment crew for launch and ISS-41/42 Increment crew for carrying out the upcoming ISS program.
Presented to the General Designers Review Board were supplementary reports, announcements and findings from the General Designers, responsible representatives of organizations and enterprises involved in the ISS Program implementation.
There are no obstacles to continuing the ISS Program.
The General Designers Review Board made the decision to approve the following RSC Energia proposals:
- On returning the ISS-39/40 Increment crew onboard Soyuz TMA-12М" on September 11, 2014;
- On the plan of upcoming work to prepare Soyuz ТМА-14М for launch on September 25, 2014;
- On delivering three crewmembers to the ISS for work within the next increment crew;
- On clearing the ISS RS to proceed with the next phase of the ISS operation.
Taking part in the proceedings of the General Designers Review Board were representatives of Roscosmos, United Rocket and Space Corporation, space agencies from abroad, subdivisions of RSC Energia, organizations and companies implementing the ISS program.
