Expedition 41/42 (ISS-41/42)
MAIN TASKS OF THE INCREMENT
IN THE ISS-41 PHASE
(September 11 - November 10, 2014)
- Launch of two ISS-41/42 Russian crewmembers and one NASA crewmember by Soyuz TMA-14M vehicle;
- Loading and undocking of Dragon SpX-5 vehicle from Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
- Docking of Soyuz TMA-14M vehicle to Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2);
- Docking and unoading of Cygnus Orb-3 vehicle to Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
- Loading and undocking of Cygnus Orb-3 vehicle from Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
- Loading and undocking of Progress M-24M cargo vehicle from module Pirs (DC1);
- Docking to module Pirs (DC1) and partial unloading of Progress M-25M cargo vehicle;
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz TMA-13M vehicle from Mini Research Module Rassvet (MRM1) (return to the Earth of three ISS-40/41 crewmembers);
- Support of the Station functionality;
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiments;
- Onboard photographic and video recording of the ISS RS flight history and implementation of symbolic activities program.
The ISS-41 crew consists of 3 persons (September 11 - 25, 2014), 6 persons (September 26 - November 10, 2014).

IN THE ISS-42 PHASE
(November 10, 2014 - March 12, 2015)
- Launch of one ISS-42/43 Russian crewmember, one NASA crewmember and one ESA crewmember by Soyuz TMA-15M vehicle;
- Docking of Soyuz TMA-15M vehicle to Mini Research Module Rassvet (MRM1);
- Loading and undocking of ATV-5 vehicle from SM IC;
- Docking and unoading of Dragon SpX-6 vehicle to Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
- Loading and undocking of Dragon SpX-6 vehicle from Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
- Docking and unoading of Cygnus Orb-4 vehicle to Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
- Docking to SM IC and partial unoading of Progress M-26M cargo vehicle;
- Loading and undocking of Cygnus Orb-4 vehicle from Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz TMA-14M vehicle from Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2) (return to the Earth of three ISS-41/42 crewmembers);
- Support of the Station functionality;
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiments;
- Onboard photographic and video recording of the ISS RS flight history.
The ISS-42 crew consists of 3 persons (November 10 - 24, 2014), 6 persons (November 24, 2014 - March 12, 2015).
