Approach to the space station, its fly-around, stationkeeping and docking were performed normally, in automatic mode.
The initial contact with the docking port on the research module MRM1 Rassvet of the Russian segment of the ISS occurred at 06:10 Moscow Time.

In accordance with the mission plan of the International Space Station (ISS) and Russian commitments under this international project, a manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz TMA-09M was launched from Baikonur launch site at 00:31:24 Moscow Time.
The objective of the launch is to deliver to ISS a crew of three in order to bring the crew of Expedition Thirty Six (ISS-36) up to six.
