Ice Palace "Arena Mytischi", the city of Mytischi, Moscow Region
Gala concert was given in the Ice Palace "Arena Mytischi" in honour of the 65th anniversary of S.P. Korolev Rocket-Space Corporation "Energia" foundation.
Invitations to attend the concert were given to the Corporation managers, veterans and officers; cosmonauts; the representatives of rocket-space industry enterprises and organizations, science city Korolev, Moscow Region Administration; foreign guests.
The concert began with the opening address of the Corporation President, General Designer Vitaly Alexandrovich Lopota and the Head of the Russian Federation President Administration Department Alexander Sergeyevich Balashov who greeted the audience, congratulated the Corporation and rocket-space industry employees and veterans, all citizens of renowned city of Korolev on that remarkable date. A.S. Balashov presented S.P. Korolev RSC Energia team with the Russian Federation President certificate of honour for their great contribution to the development of national human flight cosmonautics and labour achievement reached.
During the concert the audience could see a laser show, videofilms demonstrating the history of cosmonautics and congratulations from the RAS academicians B.Y. Chertok, Yu.P. Semenov, RSC Energia veterans B.A. Sokolov, V.D. Vachnadze, Yu.D. Silayev, cosmonauts from the International Space Station; videofilms presenting advanced activities of the Corporation development. Also the representatives of NASA, ESA, JAXA, participants of the XIX International Competition of Schoolchildren joined the rest in congratulating the Corporation team.
The performance of the People's Artist, Hero of socialist Labour, composer A. Pakhmutova and State Prize winner and poet - songs writer N. Dobronravov, the authors of lots of song hits, including those devoted to space, was accorded a hearty welcome as it usually is. N. Dobronravov performed the verses devoted to the Corporation and the founder of the enterprise, General Designer, academician S.P. Korolev. Yu. Gradov was the first to perform a new song composed by A. Pakhmutova "Our earthly motherland - our celestial motherland" devoted to RSC Energia and accompanied by chorus and orchestra.
As good friends the audience greeted the following People's Artists: T. Gverdtsiteli, S. Zakharov, L. Leschenko, L. Dolina who have been performing songs devoted to space and cosmonauts for many years. Famous performers Alexander Panayotov and Yeugeny Smolyaninova were received with a storm of applause.
The stars of academic and variety art, the Russian Bolshoi Theatre soloist L. Rudakova (soprano), soloist D. Stepanovich (bass), group "21st Century Tenors", artists of the national russian ballet "Vozrozhdenie" were also given an enthusiastic welcome.
The performance of groups "Kvatro", "Respublika", the team "Potok" of children's municipal choral school "Podlipky" after B.A. Tolochkov, the city of Korolev; children's chorus and group "Kinder Miks" ; children's dancing ensemble "Sozvezdiye; dance theatre "Star express"; circus air gymnasts was coming to an end with a standing ovation given by the viewers.
The concert was conducted by the announcers Anna Shatilova and Yugeniy Kochergin. The President's orchestra conducted by P. Ovsyannikov was playing on the stage.
