RSC Energia representatives participated in sporting events and celebrations that took place in Korolev on June 27 and were dedicated to the Youth Day.
The festivities were organized by the administration of the town of Korolev. The guests of honor that greeted the townspeople included a cosmonaut, a member of the Public Chamber of the town of science Yelena Serova. She congratulated the residents of Korolev on the holiday and wished everybody victories in space and high spirits.

The descent vehicle of spacecraft Soyuz TMA-15M carrying the International Space Station Expedition 42/43 crew made a successful landing 148 km to the South East of Dzhezkazgan (Kazakhstan). The touch-down occurred at 16:43 Moscow Time. The crew consists of Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, as well as NASA astronaut Terry Virts.

30 years since the Dzhanibekov-Savinykh rescue expedition
June 8, 2015

Today, on June 8, 2015, is the 30th anniversary of docking between Soyuz T-13 space vehicle and the faulty orbital station Salyut-7 staying in uncontrolled flight.
The recue expedition crew included commander Vladimir Dzhanibekov with a broad experience in a manually operated rendezvous and a good understanding of the station Salyut-7 and Viktor Savinykh from NPO Energia. Due to high professionalism, the crew succeeded in performance of repair/maintenance work and refurbishment of the station within just a few days. The cosmonauts had to perform operations under severe conditions and extremely low temperatures.

On June 4-5, RSC Energia employees working in Samara city were attested.
Certification took place in conferencing mode. Certifying Commission management was staying in Samara, while its remaining members were in Korolev city, but they could see those being attested, ask them questions about their professional activity; hold discussion concerning efficiency in respective department operation; specific proposals to improve labour conditions, enhance quality of work at respective departments.

On June 5-6, 2015 All-Russian youth scientific-practical conference is to be held both in Blagoveschensk and at Cosmodrome Vostochny.
Roscosmos, URSC, the RF Ministry of Education and Science, Federal Agency of Research Organizations and other departments by order of Dmitry Rogozin, the RF government Chairman Deputy, will hold plenary and section-level meetings based upon Blagoveschensk's higher educational establishments, AmGU and BGPU, which will be focused on discussing prospects for space engineering and technologies development, as well as cosmodromes, manned cosmonautics, staff training and capitalizing on space activity results to improve human life on the Earth.

RSC Energia indoor soccer summer championship started

The opening of the Corporation's regular indoor soccer championship was held at "Metallist" stadium (Korolev City) on June, 2nd. The championship has been performed since 2002 and is one of most popular sports events, in which RSC Energia workshops and departments' teams take place.

By the order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR, June 2, 1955 became the day of the founding of the legendary cosmodrome Baikonur, where the space age began and with which the history of RSC Energia is inextricably intertwined.

The official date of the cosmodrome founding is considered to be June 2, 1955. It was on that day that the history of the test range which opened the road into space began. The launch of the Earth's first artificial satellite on October 4, 1957 from launch pad No.1 ushered in the Space Age in mankind's history.
