Cargo Transport Vehicle Progress M-25M has docked to the ISS!
Russian cargo transport vehicle (CTV) Progress M-25M has docked to the International Space Station.
CTV approach to the Station, its fly-around and station-keeping were performed in the automatic mode during the first four orbits of the flight, the vehicle docking to the Station was completed on the flight orbit.
The contact with the docking port of the Pirs Module of the ISS Russian Segment occurred at 16:08:20 Moscow Time.

Automatic Cargo Vehicle Progress M-25M is flying to the ISS
At 10:09:43 Moscow Time cargo transport vehicle (CTV) Progress M-25M was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. For the first time the launch of the cargo vehicle was provided using a new modification of the Soyuz-type launch vehicle with a designation as Soyuz-2.1a.
The purpose of the launch is to support further in-orbit operation of the International Space Station in accordance with the Russian commitments under the project.

Soyuz launch vehicle was rolled out from the integration building to the launch pad. Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with Progress M-25M transport vehicle is installed on the launch pad. L-2 days activities have been started.

From October 13 to 16, 2014 holiday hotel "Vostok" of S.P. Korolev Rocket-Space Corporation Energia hosted a rally of young specialists from rocket-space industry enterprises devoted to Moon exploration and development.

50th anniversary of the launch of the first multi-seater manned spacecraft Voskhod
Launched fifty year ago, on October 12, 1964, was the world's first multi-seater manned spacecraft Voskhod. The spacecraft crew were: V.M. Komarov (commander, engineer-subcolonel), K.P. Feoktistov (cosmonaut-researcher, candidate of science, engineering), B.B. Yegorov (cosmonaut-physician). For the first time, flying onboard a manned spacecraft were people who were not professional cosmonaut pilots, but specialist: Chief project engineer for this spacecraft, an employee of the Special Design Bureau No.1 (today known as S.P. Korolev RSC Energia) K.P. Feoktistov and an employee of the Institute for Biomedical Problems (IBMP), physician B.B. Yegorov.
