Management of the satellite remote sensing data in environment monitoring systems.
Description
The technology has been developed for building monitoring systems, continuously using the satellite data to solve specific problems (meteorological data, wildfire detection, agricultural activities, etc). The technology is based on using specialized modules aimed for main typical tasks. This allows to simplify the process of systems development and their implementation and maintenance. The function of modules are: acquisition of satellite data, archiving, satellite data processing, the satellite data integration with other information needed for specific information system, displaying the data and results of their processing to an user, monitoring and control of the system.
The developed software assures the high degree of automation, possibility for building distributed systems, simplicity of the system enhancement (scalability), operation reliability and easy maintenance.
The following systems have been created or are developed presently on the basis of this technology:
Systems for collection, processing, archiving and dissemination of satellite data in data centers of Russian Academy of Sciences, Russian Meteorological Agency, Russian Space Agency, Federal Agency of geodesy and cartography.
Monitoring system of Russian Fishing Agency.
Wildfire remote monitoring system for Russian Forestry Agency.
Agricultural territory satellite monitoring system for Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
