Australia Telescope National Facility

Welcome to the ATNF Virtual Observatory Web Services project. Our aim is to develop web services for use (primarily) by scientists and software engineers in astronomy. We currently have several main projects in progress, and as they become publicly available they will be accessible from this site.

Our focus is on providing radio astronomy software as web services so that it can be used more widely by radio astronomers and the general astronomy community. As far as possible these services will be compliant with the emerging standards set by the International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA) of which Australia is a member.

This VO work is carried out within the ATNF scientific computing group and currently involves the following people:
