Actions arising

CARRIED FORWARD/UPDATED

  • Consolidation of the LBA Archive to include all ATNF + Swinburne + Curtin correlated LBA data. Should also add in eVLBI output data. Maintain complete archives at Curtin and ATNF (ATNF/Curtin)
    • ATNF to develop online access to this archive (ATNF) - Continuing
    • Arrange ATOA on-line access to archive (ATNF)
  • Copy LBA data archive from Curtin to ATNF (Curtin, Chris) continuing
  • Guidelines for phasing the atca more often during vlbi observations (ATNF) - to be revisited
  • Implement upgrade for programmable cable changes on VLBI DAS. (Chris, Jamie S) continuing
  • Contact Peter Mirtchin re DAS remote cabling changes via VSIC (Tasso)
  • Update Parkes VLBI notes on Wiki (Jamie, JER, Tasso)
    • Mk5 notes for Parkes on Wiki (Chris, JER, Tasso)
    • Parkes Calibration notes (JER, Ettore)
  • Investigate/implement mixed mode correlation (64 MHz & 4 x 16 MHz) at Curtin correlator (Cormac, Chris) continuing
  • Proposal for VLBI with GMRT for next round (All) continuing
  • Follow-up of zoom-modes for VLBI on atca (Jamie, Tasso) Continuing
  • Feed-back on tied-array operation (correlator)
  • Report on possible persistent frequency problem at Cd (correlator)
  • Ww issues at X-band such as pointing to be addressed (AUT) - Huge progress
  • Get AuScope fix for Elevation encoder drift to NZ and Parkes (Jim) done
  • Try automatic pcal via schedules on atca (Jamie S)
  • Investigate sideband separation at atca (weak fringes seen on inversion) (Chris, Cormac, Jamie)
  • Need to train observers for all antennas as more remote observing is anticipated (Tasso) continuing
  • Transfer of LBA archive from Curtin to ATNF needs route. Firewall issues? (Chris, Shaun)

NEW ACTION ITEMS

  • Need 1 Gbps access to Mk5b unit at Parkes. (Chris, Shaun) done
  • Acquire 3 TB portable eSATA disks for vlbi data transfers (e.g. ASKAP) (Tasso, Chris) done
  • Check Mk4 formatter at Hobart for large (~10 usec) clock jumps on 16 MHz bands (UTas)
  • Clarify mode-settings and channel ordering on the Mk5b at Parkes. May need tests with drudg and/or test-tone+autocorrelation (Chris)
  • Check with AUT group re Ww issues with DBBC and X-band pointing (Tasso)
  • Ask PIs to check Wiki-pages for final setup verification (Cormac, Phil)
  • Trial shipping of MK5 disks from Parkes and Tid to Hobart for e-transfers (Chris, Shinji)
  • Verify polarisation status of Tid 70m receivers at S and X (Tasso, Shinji)
  • Organise e-VLBI demo with Brazil (Tasso)
  • Check on e-VLBI demo to Hobart (Tasso, Chris, Simon)
  • Provide Tsys recording info as per Tingay email (Chris)
