Creating the Schedule File
In this step we convert the Narrabri schedule files to raw correlator schedule files for the experiment v088. These raw correlator schedule files need to be further edited, as described in Section 4.2.
From any local machine;
telnet leon | |
leon$ | sd at$sched |
leon$ | dd v088d*.* |
In this example you will notice that some of the files have an 'M' in them. These are separate schedule files for the Mopra antenna. The schedules are identical to those used at the Compact Array, apart from an addition of 5 seconds to absolute UT for the ATCA schedule. This is necessary to ensure synchronisation of the recording of data.
Now we choose the file that we want to convert. In this case it will be v088d-3.sch. This was a set of observations that was scheduled to go from 1997 212/1100-213/0100.
A program called vsched will automatically generate the necessary vlbi files, and so this must be run;
leon$ | run/nodebug at$run:vsched |
atsched | v088d-3 |
atsched | enter |
leon$ | logout |
The newly created .lba and .cat files will be in at$sched on leon. These files must be transferred from leon to elleba (to cor$sched = $DISK1:[CORR.SCHED] and cor$db = $DISK1:[CORR.DB]);
elleba$ | sd cor$sched | |
elleba$ | ftp leon | |
leon$ | cd at$sched: | |
leon$ | get v088d-3.lba v088d-3.sch | * |
leon$ | get v088d-3.cat cor$db:v088d-3.tab
leon$ | quit |
Firstly, if you have logged off from leon you must log on to leon once again;
telnet leon | |
leon$ | sd at$sched |
Then you must FTP elleba to enable you to copy files from leon into elleba;
leon | ftp elleba | |
login | (as CORR) | |
cd cor$sched | ||
ascii | ||
put v088d-3.lba v088d-3.sch
cd cor$db | ||
put v088d-3.cat v088d-3.tab
quit | ||
leon$ | lo |
