The sub-parsec-scale structure and evolution of Centaurus A

Abstract: I will review the history of high angular resolution observations of Centaurus A, concentrating on the structure and evolution of the sub-parsec-scale radio source, its nuclear environment, and recent results revealing parsec-scale structure in the kiloparsec-scale jet.
