The latest on the H i in Centaurus A

Abstract: I will summarise recent high resolution observations performed with ATCA giving a much improved picture of the distribution and kinematics of the H i near the centre. The data show that there are no indications for unsettled gas near the centre and that there is no obvious connection between the merger event that shaped Centaurus A and its current nuclear activity.
