The radio continuum properties of Centaurus A
Presenter: Martin Hardcastle (University of Hertfordshire)
Abstract: The five-year WMAP results coupled with single-dish observations at low frequencies have provided us with the first broad-band, spatially resolved observational constraints on the radio spectral properties of the giant lobes of Centaurus A. I will review what this tells us about the dynamics and activity history of the source and comment on the implications for inverse-Compton emission and high-energy particle acceleration in the giant lobes.
