Astrophysics Program

CASS Astrophysics

Overview

Astrophysics is one of four 'themes' within CASS, the others being National Facility Operation, Technologies for Radio Astronomy and the Australian SKA Pathfinder (ASKAP). Our aim in the Astrophysics theme is:

  • To conduct world-class research in astrophysics, retaining astronomy's position as Australia's highest impact science and furthering our understanding of the Universe through innovative use of CSIRO's telescopes.

Group Structure

The astrophysics group currently comprises some 24 FTE (full-time equivalent positions) distributed over about 50 individuals.
