About the SGPS Data Servers

The Southern Galactic Plane Survey is a large-scale project to image the HI spectral line and 21 cm continuum emission in the Southern Milky Way (McClure-Griffiths et al. 2005, ApJS, 158, 178). The data were obtained with the Australia Telescope Compact Array and the Parkes Radiotelscope for sensitivity to angular scales from 2 arcminutes to several degrees. Information about the HI data products, including coverage maps anda description of the data products, is available in McClure-Griffiths et al. (2005). Information about the continuum data is available in Haverkorn et al. (2006)

Observations were conducted between December 1998 and June 2001.
