If you experience inappropriate workplace behaviour, you are encouraged to be proactive about improving the situation by talking to a trusted colleague. In addition to HR, you can also contact the people listed below for help and advice.
CSIRO Equity and Diversity Contact Officers
For CSIRO staff, a list of all CSIRO Equity and Diversity contact officers is available on the myCSIRO intranet.
The duties of the Equity and Diversity Contact Officer role are to:
- Provide a contact point on diversity matters within the workplace.
- Disseminate information on CSIRO's Workplace Diversity policies and Plans.
- Advise management and staff on diversity policy and practices.
- Contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of the Division's Workplace Diversity Plan.
- Provide support to assist staff and supervisors in handling any diversity issues.
- Develop and deliver Diversity presentations at Divisional Induction Programs.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
CSIRO has a 24/7-employee assistance program (EAP) that provides all CSIRO staff and their immediate families with a free, confidential counselling service to provide advice and support for work and non-work related matters.
