Fold-mode Configurations

Fold-mode configurations for DFB4 have the same limiting period as the equivalent DFB3 configuration, except for the 1024 MHz modes where the limiting period is twice as large as for DFB3.

When observing long-period pulsars the correlator cycle time ('d4_tcyc') should be set to a value at least twice the pulsar period and preferably at least ~3 times the period. E.g. for a 6-second pulse period the cycle time should be at least 15 or preferably 20 seconds.

For configurations with 2048 frequency channels and 2048 time bins the correlator cycle time ('d4_tcyc') should be set to 20 seconds, rather than the default of 10 seconds. Similarly, configurations for which the product of the no. of time bins and no. of frequency bins is 2048x1024 may also require a longer cycle time than 10 seconds.
