Version 9.2
This was version 9.1 during development. Version 9.2 was released
on March 10, 2010.
- Allow writing of Vex files when there are moving sources in the
project. Such Vex files were blocked before because the necessary
information for accurate positions cannot be passed through Vex with
the current definition. But such files are now needed for correlation
so they can now be written, but there will be several warnings that
the positions used in correlation, and in pointing if the motion is
fast, should be obtained elsewhere. Feb. 28, 2010. RCW.
- With disk recordings, when there is a recording scan (period
with no recording gap between source scans) of more than a bit over an
hour, issue a warning and admonition to put in gaps. Originally I
inserted a gap, but this opened a can of worms so I backtracked. If
there is a problem with the recording, a whole file is lost so
excessively long scans put large amounts of data at risk. March 7,
2010, RCW.
- Support for the Australian LBA was improved and an example was
added. Cormac Reynolds. March 2, 2010.
- Set the default for PRESTART to 1 second as it seems that
the Mark5A systems do not start recording instantly. Feb. 26, 2010. RCW.
- Various updates of examples and manual for changes related to
change to the DiFX software correlator on the VLBA. Feb. 18, 2010. RCW
- Prevent the Vex section from trying to invent new modes for
skipped scans, which caused a error termination. Changes are in
routine VXSCNS. Feb. 17, 2010 RCW.
- Only print lines as long as needed in listing correlator parameters.
Before trailing blanks were also written out and that became a problem
after lengthening the allowed number of characters for various notes.
Feb. 3, 2010 RCW
- Change various format specifications to allow printing of
larger numbers for such items as the number of spectral channels.
Feb. 2, 2010 RCW
- Change the meaning of CORREL=VLBA or SOCORRO to be the DiFX software
correlator. Add CORREL=FXCORR to mean the old hardware correlator, although
that is about to be shut off for good. Feb. 2, 2010 RCW
- Change length of NOTEn, COMMENT and CORNOTEn to 128 from 64. Users
were going over causing confusion. Jan. 20, 2010 RCW.
- Change the VEX file name from xxxx.skd to xxxx.vex. Dec. 4, 2009 RCW
- Remove prohibition of different speedup factors (8 Mbps/track bit rate)
for different antennas in a setup file at request of Cormac Reynolds. Also
changed the correlator output bit rate estimate to be for a speedup of 1
for correlators other than the VLBA hardware correlator. The real speedup
factor will be hard to estimate for the software correlators. Dec. 3, 2009, RCW.
- Make the keyin input insensitive to DOS carriage returns. There
is no longer a need to convert input to Unix format. Dec. 1, 2009 RCW.
- Install the JPLEPH.421 ephemeris in the $PLANET_DATA area for
the AOC version for 64 bit Linux. Test against 405 to be sure there
are no big changes. Nov. 12, 2009 RCW.
- Add code from Bill Junor to the satellite tracking to get the
station dependent rates right (or close enough). Nov. 02, 2009. RCW
- Change spelling of PARALAX to PARALLAX. Add PARALAX
for backward compatability. This is being used fairly heavily by some
current projects. Oct. 20, 2009
- Add warnings for scans with less than half of the antennas reaching
source before the stop time. Also give a count of scans with less than
half of the antennas on-source at the start time. Oct. 15, 2009 RCW.
- Move DSS54 (Robledo 34mBWG) from stations_JIVE.dat to stations_EVN.dat.
Oct. 15, 2009 RCW.
