Planned release of SCHED 11.3 update 1 is April 14, 2014.
Prohibit source names that contain characters that the VEX
parsers do not like, including "*". April 14, 2014 RCW
Added script Legacy_cksched that can be used to run all
the crd files from the examples through the legacy system's
checker to improve the ability to find problems. The script needs
to be run from a machine that has access to cksched, such as shire
at the AOC. April 11, 2014 RCW.
Example dq415.key, a VLBA data quality test, was introduced.
This should replace mt506.key eventually, but that has not happened
yet. April 10, 2014. RCW.
A bug in the setting of pcalx frequencies for the VLBA legacy
system was found by operations. It affected setups with multiple IFs
with different IF sidebands. In fixing that, another bug was found
that affected frequencies set for the VLBA legacy system channels when
the sideband inversion option was being used (the option that allows
different stations to use different IF sideband but the same BBC
sideband as is required for PFB observations with Green Bank at some
frequencies). April 10, 2014. RCW.
Planned release date for SCHED 11.3 is April 4, 2014.
Modify the criteria by which the Vex routines judge whether
adequate breaks in the recordings are being provided for media changes.
Larger files are now allowed. April 4, 2014 Cormac Reynolds.
Incorporate the file Release_instructions into a
manual section of the same name. This is mainly
for the primary SCHED developer. If you have a morbid interest in
what is involved, or want to understand why releases don't happen very
often, feel free to browse the section. April 2, 2014. RCW.
Got the Linux GFORTRAN compilation working again at the AOC, now
without a special compiler. A recent Redhat upgrade provided the
required compiler update. Removed configureLinux64gfortranAOC which is
no longer needed. April 1, 2014 RCW (not a joke).
Move NEWLOC, the program for creating locations.dat from a
geodetic station solution, to the RELATED_CODE area and add it to
svn. This means it will be managed with SCHED. March 21, 2014. RCW.
Fix a bug in the selection of frequency file entry to use with
the RDBE_DDC. The calculation related to avoiding problems with crossover
frequencies was not correct. March 21, 2014 RCW
Updating some more examples from use of MARK5A to MARK5C at the
VLBA. Still there are some that are not finished. March 21, 2014. RCW.
Improve the program (NEWSRC) that updates source catalogs from
the old sources.vlba and new GSFC and Petrov catalogs. Produced new
Petrov catalog, but waiting for new GSFC solution before updating
everything. Also moved to the RELATED_CODE subdirectory and added
to svn so it is managed with SCHED. March 16, 2014 RCW.
Warn when multiple phase centers are used with less than 4000
FFT channels. This could be made much more sophisticated eventually
with a recommended value, but keep it simple for now. March 6, 2014
Cause an abort of SCHED if and S/X project only has one band
in the crd files. If the missing band is S band as it would normally
be, that will cause no fringes. March 6, 2014. RCW.
Changing default selection of setup file channels to use for crd
file channels to ensure all IFs are represented. Also adjust for only
4 crd channels because BBCs are getting removed from the stations.
March 3, 2014 RCW
Add note in the CORRELATION REQUESTS section of the .sum file
to indicate that the project uses multiple phase centers. This was a
request from the analysts. Feb. 20, 2014. RCW
Comment the SETUP lines in the SETUP place holders in the v2d file.
The analysts had been having to delete those. Feb. 14, 2014. RCW.
Fix bug in the frequencies for standard setup v6cm-512-8-2-L.set. It
had unintended overlapping frequencies. Feb. 10, 2014 RCW.
Change the behavior of GAP when inserting pointing scans. Previously,
GAP was set to zero after inserting the pointing, which could allow the
main schedule scans to end up closer together than expected. Now enforce
the GAP between the main schedule scans. This can be important especially
if separate runs are needed for some reason and they need to be kept aligned.
Feb. 9, 2014 RCW.
Check the specified format for the RDBE. Feb. 4, 2014. RCW
Turn off the warning about MARK5A recording on the VLBA when
no recording is being done. Jan. 30, 2014. RCW
Manual description of NOPEAK updated to include warning
that NOPEAK takes precedence over PEAK if both are specified.
Because of the way the parser works, SCHED has no way to tell when this
happens. Jan 30, 2014.
Typo fixed in a warning message that the specified DBE
is not consistent with the specified DAR for the station.
Jan 27, 2014 RCW.
