As you may know, Ron has asked me to organise a meeting to we have learnt from building the AT. We would like to discuss right and what we did v,.:rong,and what we did right at the time differently now, so t-hat we may learn lessons from the building apply these lessons to other major projects in the future.

We have set a day for this meeting - Friday 27th November - to coincide with both the visit of the AT Steering Committee and with the launch of Peter Robertson's book ("Beyond Southern Skies"). We have wrinen to Barry Jones to see whether he is willing to launch the book and to give a keynote talk at the AT retrospective meeting, but have not yet heard whether or not he will be able to make it. At present, our provisional plan is to have the AT meeting in the morning and the book launch in the afternoon. I am writing to you, as a central figure in this story, to ask whet-her you would be able to do either or both of: (1) Give a keynote talk on how you managed to get the AT project off the ground, and (2) act as moderator or chairman for all or pan of the meeting. We are in the early stages of planning this, and so have not yet put together a detailed agenda., and so would welcome any comments or ideas you may have at this stage. With best wishes
