Paul RobertsCSIRO Research Engineer/Scientist
I am a research engineer/scientist with CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science, based in Marsfield, New South Wales. My research interests centre on signal processing instrumentation and related techniques for wide-bandwidth signal processing in radio astronomy. Some of my particular interests are MMIC chip design, photonics, high-speed digitisers, and techniques for UHE particle induced pulse detection My major current focus is on the design of various components and systems for the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder(ASKAP), a 36-Antenna array of telescopes being constructed in the Western Australian outback. I also have a strong involvement with the LUNASKA collaboration. This is a project to attempt to detect Cherenkov radiation resulting from UHE neutrino interaction with the lunar regolith. Details: |
