H
Observations and Data Reduction
For the wide-field survey of H emission in the LMC, a 153 mm f/5.0 camera lens from 2.3-m telescope at Siding Spring Observatory was mounted on the 16-inch telescope with a filter assembly and a cooled 2048
2048 CCD. Each 15
m pixel corresponds to 20.''63 on the sky, giving a total field size of
square. The H
filter was centered at 6569 ц…\ with a FWHM of 15 ц…. Continuum subtraction was done with another image centered at 6620
. The exposure time for both H
and continuum images was 4
900 s.
